Meet our Leadership Team
Richard is co-founder of InnSight Hotel Management Group. He additionally serves as the President of Sycan Development Corporation. Since 1989, he has been engaged in the development, financing and ownership of hotel projects and other real estate development ventures. Richard has negotiated franchise agreements with Marriott International, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Choice Hotels International. He is responsible for the general management and strategic direction of InnSight.
Richard served on the Rodeway Owner’s Council from 1995 to 1997, chairing the Council in 1997. In this role, he represented the interest of franchisees to Choice Hotels International, dealing with brand positioning, marketing, brand equity and impact issues. He currently serves on the board and Executive Committee of the Convention and Visitors Association of Lane County. Past volunteer service includes terms on the board of Goodwill Industries of Lane County, the Alumni Advisory Council of the University of Oregon Honors College, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Oak Hill School and various civic and community organizations.
Richard received an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in International Business from the University of Oregon Honors College.
Executive Vice President
Patrick is responsible for the operation and performance of InnSight managed hotels. Key responsibilities include supervising general managers and managing owner communication.
Patrick has over 35 years experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to co-founding InnSight with Richard Boyles, he was employed by American General Hospitality as a General Manager. He was also previously employed with Doubletree Hotels in both operational and marketing positions in Seattle and Atlanta. Prior to Doubletree, he spent 11 years with Hyatt Hotels in various operations and marketing positions for properties in Chicago, Phoenix, Seattle and Lexington, Kentucky.
Patrick received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph’s College and has completed course work in the Master of Business Administration program at the University of Illinois. He has also served on the Courtyard University Board of Governors and was formerly President of the Lane County Lodging Association. He has served as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Lodging Association and currently serves as chairperson.
Gregory Hoard, CPA, CTP
Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services
Gregory is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of all InnSight-managed hotel properties. He brings to InnSight significant experience in the real estate industry, including property acquisition and financing, as well as being skilled in the field of treasury management, credit and collections. Gregory brings a broad business background encompassing the past 30 years to InnSight.
Gregory is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Treasury Professional. He received a BS in Management from Linfield College. He is a member of the Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP).
Director of Operations
Holly assists in overseeing the day-to-day operation and performance of InnSight hotels. Her key responsibilities include the management and direction of property general managers, creation and implementation of both franchisor and InnSight mandated training programs and assistance with sales and marketing efforts.
Holly has more than 10 years experience in the lodging industry in both full-service and select-service hotels. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She was the recipient of Residence Inn by Marriott’s Jim Conley Award in 2007.
eCommerce Marketing Manager
Brooks is responsible for the eCommerce activities of InnSight hotels. His key responsibilites include website management and search engine optimization, maintaining relationships with online travel agencies, social networking activities, and Reservations and Sales Training with the front desk teams at InnSight managed hotels.
Brooks has over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry, including opening two hotels. He received his Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude from the University of Oregon in Eugene. He was the recipient of Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott’s Opening General Manager of the Year Award in 2007 and Residence Inn by Marriott’s Service Excellence General Manager of the Year Award in 2013.
